Our customer needed to haul some very heavy transformers through some dense bush, no road was really allowed. A solution was to build these skids, which the transformers were mounted to then they dragged them through the bush and into position. The skids were then left as the bases. Notice the rod notch where a skid cable can be attached (front and back). The timbers are shaped to ride over the rough ground. Interesting projects!
